Muscat, Oman – On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the Oman Cancer Association (OCA), in collaboration with Apollo Proton Cancer Center APCC Chennai, India and Global Treatment Services (GTS), conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program at the Intercity Hotel, Muscat. Themed “Thyroid cancer and Leveraging technology and
biology in the treatment of
challenging solid tumors.
The program aimed to enhance local knowledge and foster dialogue around evolving trends in oncology.

FRCP (UK) is Senior Consultant, Endocrinology , who facilitated the discussion and engaged participants in a dynamic exchange on the challenges and opportunities in treating cancers in Oman.

Senior Consultant- Radiation Oncology Lead Consultant – at Apollo Proton Cancer Center APCC Chennai, India delivered a compelling presentation on the evolution of oncology with Proton treatment. He shared real-world case studies and highlighted the use of cutting-edge technologies with Proton therapy.
The CME generated valuable discussions on increasing patient awareness, enhancing treatment accessibility, and shaping future cancer care strategies in Oman. OCA and GTS expressed their sincere gratitude to Apollo Proton center for their collaboration and commitment to professional development.
